I cannot log in or use Hoiio to make calls or send SMS. Message 'Please check your Internet connection' is displayed.
On first login and for calls made via Callback (Internet), Hoiio requires an Internet connection to work. This can be a cellular data connection (CSD/3G/GPRS), wireless connection or shared Internet connection with your desktop via ActiveSync. Please check your connection settings and try again.
My device supports wireless connectivity but Hoiio always connects via my GPRS/3G connection and does not connect via WiFi.
Hoiio will only connect via wifi if the device is already connected to a wireless network. You can manage your Wifi connections by using your device's Connection Manager.
My device is connected to both Wifi and 3G. Which connection will Hoiio use?
In most cases Hoiio will connect via your Wifi connection. However, this behaviour may be different on certain devices. Please refer to your device manual for details.
After I use Hoiio to make calls, when will Hoiio disconnect the GPRS/3G connection it just established?
You can configure this by opening Main menu > Settings > General Settings > Cellular connectivity. The settings is only applicable for GPRS/3G connections and will only work on selected devices. Your device may have separate settings to control this behaviour - please refer to your device manual for further details.
