This will clear your Hoiio log in information and quit Hoiio. When you start Hoiio again, you will be prompted to log in as if you have just installed Hoiio.

Call Settings

Call From

If you establish a callback call, Hoiio will call the number configured in the Call From first then Hoiio will connect the call to the destination. By default, the number in the Call From field will be the number you register with Hoiio (i.e. your mobile number).

Calling Method

  • Call Back (Internet): Make a call request via Internet (WIFI/GPRS/3G). This is the default setting.
  • Call Back (SMS): Make a call request via SMS
  • Call Through: Make a call request via Hoiio call-through access number

Hoiio Number

Hoiio Number settings will determine the way Hoiio Number forwards the calls to you. For example, when someone calls your Hoiio Number, you could receive the call at the forwarded number.

Caller ID

Change the caller ID that is shown to the people you call. You could choose one of the following options:

  • My Phone: Hoiio will display your registered phone number (default)
  • Hoiio Number: if you have a Hoiio Number, you can display this
  • Anonymous: no number (private number) will be shown

Call via Hoiio

There are 5 settings that decide if a call is to be made via Hoiio. These settings are based on 5 scenarios that a Hoiio user might encounter - local calls, international calls, local calls when roaming, international calls when roaming and calling home when roaming. For each of the 5 settings, there are 3 options to choose from:

  • Always Ask - Prompt to use Hoiio
  • Use Hoiio - Use Hoiio automatically
  • Use Operator - Hoiio will not be used, instead the call will be made via your telecom provider

Local

This applies for calls made from home country to local numbers.

International

This applies for calls made from home country to overseas numbers.

Roaming (Local)

This applies for calls made from an overseas country to numbers in that overseas country. E.g. you have a Singapore phone roaming in China and you use your phone to call a China number.

Roaming (International)

This applies for calls made from an overseas country other than the home country. E.g. you have a Singapore phone roaming in China and you use your phone to call Australian number.

Roaming (Home)

This applies for calls made from an overseas country to numbers in the home country. E.g. you have a Singapore phone roaming in China and you use your phone to call Singapore number.

General Settings

Country Code

This field should be set to the country code in which you are staying. If you call without any country prefix, Hoiio will append this country code. E.g. if Country Code is set to +65, when you call 9000000, Hoiio will append the number so it becomes: +6590000000. On the other hand, if you call +601000000, Hoiio will not append any country code.

Area Code

This field should be set to the area code in which you are staying. Otherwise, you can leave this field blank.

SMS Settings

Mobile Number

This is your registered mobile number. When you send an SMS, it will be shown as the sender's number. This field is read-only.

Recovery Mode

This defines what action will be taken when an SMS cannot be sent via Hoiio.

Always ask - This is the default option. Show a prompt asking if user wants to send the SMS via the mobile operator.

If the answer is 'No', the failed SMS will be place in Drafts folder.
Send via Operator - All failed SMS will be sent via the mobile operator.
